We’re looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our growing revenue team. Tapcart helps small, medium and large Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) eCommerce brands deliver mobile commerce solutions to their customers on their favorite devices. Our solutions help merchants drive top-line revenue growth and are proven to increase conversions and repeat purchase rate.

The Commercial Sales Manager will lead a team of Account Executives selling to brands who are smaller in size/scale but growing quickly. The ideal candidate has experience managing a high volume of opportunities that are smaller in size and transactional in nature with a sales cycle of less than 30 days.

What we're looking for:

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing a team of (5+) quota carrying AEs inside a B2B SaaS company or within the e-commerce industry
  • At least 4 years of prior sales experience as an Account Executive role inside a B2B SaaS company or within the e-commerce industry
  • A talent magnet, someone who can attract, hire, scale and retain ambitious sales professionals who are motivated to grow their careers and skills inside Tapcart
  • A natural motivator and able to coach a variety of different personality types
  • People development: can scale their playbook a a successful AE to others; willing to coach and dive into sales fundamentals with each rep to ensure we deliver a superior buying experience
  • Coach and identify both leading and lagging indicators of performance to ensure consistent production
  • General interest in retail’s digital transformation whether it’s Fashion, Food & Beverage, Tech/Electronics, Beauty/Cosmetics etc; You enjoy being a consumer yourself and keeping tabs on the latest shopping trends
  • Experience inside transactional GTM engines with an average sales cycle length measured in days or weeks vs months (our buyers transacts quickly and don’t beat around the bush)
  • People person who is comfortable building cross-functional relationships and presenting in front of medium-sized groups
  • Knowledge and experience using key sales productivity tools such as Salesforce.com , Outreach (Sales Engagement), Chorus (Conversational Intelligence) etc.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding goals as an individual contributor and manager in a high-velocity sales environment
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

What you'll be working on:

  • Drive revenue growth, efficiency and sales execution inside a high growth segment of Tapcart’s business
  • Scale an Outbound sales motion to supplement inbound flow from our growth and partnerships organizations
  • Identify inefficiencies and design solutions in the Commercial Sales motion; this role will require a lot of process building, adjusting and problem-solving in addition to driving deals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Enablement resources to design a culture of learning and grow Commercial Account Executives into Enterprise Account Executives with time and experience
  • Win over the sales team and ensure they see you as a trusted resource who will help them get better and be successful in their respective roles
  • Partner with Sales Operations and the Sales Leadership team to use performance data to identify knowledge or skill gaps across the team

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience selling or managing a team of quota-carrying AEs at a Shopify technology partner company
  • Experience selling or managing a team of AEs inside an e-commerce technology provider
  • Experience selling or managing a team of AEs inside a company who has the Marketing department as a key buyer persona
