Peppermint (IG @justpeppermint) is a seed-round underwear DTC brand targeted at the up and coming generation. We are a progressive DTC company that empowers young people to be, move, and love — to feel comfortable in their skin, to be confident about their identity and feel supported in any situation. We're launching our first collection in May!

Peppermint is seeking an experienced art director who has passion and insights to lead our art direction. You will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to the position in order to advance our sales goals and establish Peppermint's brand in the market. We're not just looking for an "employee", but an entrepreneurial partner who collaborates with the founder to achieve something amazing. This role is expected to step up and lead the creative team, essentially working as the creative director of the brand. This role is preferably based in Los Angeles; we're open to having a discussion if you're in NYC.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the creative team in the production of all social media, email, web, print, television and other digital marketing collateral
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, digital and brand design, engaging content and approaches for advertising in new marketing channels
  • Collaborate across the Growth team to develop advertising strategies, create marketing plans, analyze results, and identify opportunities for testing and learning
  • Collaborate with the Fashion Design and Merchandising team to decide our new collections/drops
  • Champion creative direction to make compelling and captivating content that engages viewers into purchases on our website - work towards the broader vision of making Peppermint a recognized and trusted brand by telling our story
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling content across all mediums and groups of consumers
  • Become the expert who has deep insights into our customers, including their lifestyles, preferences, aesthetics, relevant trends, etc.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5 years of related experience with 3+ years of art direction in agency or corporate setting
  • Previous visual direction experience leading brand visual identity
  • DSolid digital marketing experience creating comms across channels
  • Copy & art-based experience in delivering campaign copy and visuals
  • Great leadership skills, ability to learn fast and collaborate across teams
  • Hands on experience in DTC ecommerce advertising, preference given to those who worked for early stage companies
