This position will lead all facets of digital advertising to drive ecommerce growth at Ancient Nutrition. You will be responsible for building strategy, the day-to-day execution, testing and optimizing to drive acquisition and retention. Your understanding and experience across social, search, display and affiliate plus new and emerging platforms will be critical to helping achieving our goals. This role oversees a team plus works closely with an agency, the retention lead, brand team and DTC eCommerce team.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Create strategy and corresponding tactical plans to use digital advertising to drive ecommerce growth
  • Perform day-to-day campaign activities for paid digital marketing campaigns, including: bid management, budget allocation, forecasting, performance monitoring, strategic testing, and campaign development
  • Formulate plans to achieve company objectives – budgets, acquisition/retention mix, channel allocations, campaign structures – and lead the execution to deliver on them
  • Develop and monitor budgets to achieve targets
  • Analyze metrics and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports with insights and actionable opportunities to grow the business
  • Evaluate performance against overall business objectives such as new customer acquisition, subscription program growth, website traffic, sales growth, SEO, LTV/CAC, AOV
  • Lead all negotiations, growth plans, strategy and performance with agencies and vendors
  • Work with other DTC team members to leverage insights and sync activities (email, SMS, site merchandising, etc)
  • Work cross-functionally to drive omni-channel initiatives which leverage other channels (ex. Amazon, DRTV) to increase ecommerce performance and vice versa
  • Share latest industry trends and recommend innovative growth opportunities
  • Identify new trends and opportunities for business growth and implement action plans
  • Research and advocate for products, tools, platforms and processes to scale ad performance
  • Work with Creative and Brand on efficient processes to deliver ad assets and create synergistic campaigns

 

What we would like you to have:

  • 5+ years managing Performance Marketing in-house or at an agency
  • Track record for new customer acquisition via paid media channels
  • Growing eCommerce brands and DTC subscription experience
  • Strong leadership skills to manage team members, agencies and cross-functional teams
  • Expert knowledge and experience with ad platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google Adwords, Yahoo, Bing, Pinterest, YouTube, Programmatic
  • Highly knowledgeable about different facets of digital marketing – email, influencer, SMS, affiliate, social media, website analytics, etc, and how they work synergistically with advertising
  • Strong analytical and financial skills required, including experience with budgeting and various data tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Shopify)
  • Requires strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of delivering strong results and performance versus goals
  • Bonus Points: Experience working in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and working knowledge with Adobe creative suite
