About the job

Who are we?

Apollo Neuroscience is pioneering new ways to empower people to live healthier lives by addressing the root of stress and anxiety: the nervous system. Balancing and calming the nervous system is essential to building resilience to stress. Originating from research in neuroscience and psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, Apollo Neuro, our debut product, is the first scientifically-validated technology to improve the body’s resilience to stress. Unlike most other wearables, Apollo Neuro is not a biometric tracker, it is a wearable therapeutic that uses vibration to support the body’s recovery from stress.

Apollo Neuro’s culture is built on a deep and genuine commitment to improve access to mental health. We’re a growing start-up that’s through Series A, and our shared value is empathy. Kindness and inclusion are key, and we have a respectful and friendly company culture. Our departments function collaboratively and intimately to build rapport and support individuals. We’re an entirely remote, distributed team with roots in Pittsburgh and the Bay area.

About our work environment:

When you join Apollo Neuro, you join a team that values empathy, respect, and a strong work ethic. As an employee, you’ll join the team on a journey of mission-driven rapid growth, with a real opportunity to influence the company, product, and users. Apollo Neuro employees receive competitive compensation, and benefits including competitive PTO, healthcare benefits, 401K with a match, and more.

We’re results focused, and we believe that clearly defined goals combined with great people, empowerment, and autonomy create the highest quality results. We’re confident that inclusive and diverse teams working toward an important mission have the capacity to create extraordinary impact.

Who are you:

Apollo Neuro is looking for a skilled Performance Marketing Manager to drive customer acquisition across our Paid Social media channels, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Snap, and TikTok. You will own paid social channels, from planning to execution to creative testing and development, to measurement and reporting. In addition, you will work alongside an external Paid Search & Shopping media agency to coordinate campaign launches to ensure performance goals are met. As part of this, you will oversee day-to-day project management and deliver creative and budget approvals. You will be working cross-functionally with marketing, design, product, and data teams to build campaigns that drive Apollo sales. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our brand is cohesive across our core paid social channels and we're achieving company CAC/ROAS goals.

You’re a data-obsessed digital marketer, with a superior attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and a passion for performance. You’re someone who sees the missed opportunities that others in the market overlook, and use it to develop creative tactics. You have managed e-commerce acquisition ad budgets at scale, and you absolutely love digging into the data, pulling insights, and finding creative concepts and formats that outperform your last winners. You’re a self-starter who is comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-moving, asynchronous remote team.

As a key member of the Apollo Neuro Growth team, you will assist in other acquisition initiatives as needed, including landing page optimization, lead gen, and other digital channel support. Ideally you have experience with performance channels outside of Paid Social and an understanding of how the media mix works from the top to the bottom of the funnel. You have a performance marketer mindset but you also understand the importance of brand voice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations across paid social channels to drive growth at efficient scale
  • Own paid campaigns for Facebook, Instagram, Snap, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn and emerging paid social channels as needed
  • Drive strategy for each campaign, taking data, budget, KPIs, target audiences, cultural cues, current events, and brand voice into account
  • Champion the creative ideation process and translate concepts into asset design briefs, guiding your testing framework through a data-driven lens
  • Implement testing strategies to validate creative, landing pages, audiences, and tactics
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses, weekly reporting, campaign and channel post-mortems; providing insights and opportunities alongside results
  • Support Growth team on other acquisition channels as needed, pending experience and desire to grow

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in paid social media buying, with a focus on customer acquisition for e-commerce preferred
  • Experienced operator, laser-focused on execution and optimization of performance-based growth marketing strategies
  • Comfortable deriving and presenting insights into testable hypotheses and actions
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, adhere to best practices, and expand your thinking beyond the playbook to test what works for the brand and product at hand
  • Prior relationships with platform partners (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.) and vendors such as Influencer agencies
  • Experience managing day-to-day relationships with external media agencies (or agency experience)
  • Proficient in a range of tools across the marketing stack, with emphasis on Facebook Ads Manager and other paid social ads platforms, Google Analytics, and Google Data Studio
  • Advanced knowledge of Sheets, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Proven growth mindset; consumer-led, data-driven, and a systems thinker who sees the media mix as a puzzle to be solved
  • Ability and eagerness to effectively balance the big-picture strategic work with execution
  • Desire to grow and learn with a small but highly experienced team of DTC and brand marketers
  • Experience in a start-up or fast-moving, agile environment preferred
  • SQL experience highly desirable
  • Experience in Google Ads highly desirable
