Overview:

Universal Standard is looking for a Social Media Manager to scale and lead innovation across the ever-evolving social + influencer ecosystem. We build social strategies that are differentiated, engaging, and customer-centric — specifically tailored for our audience. You will own the strategic vision for Universal Standard’s organic social programs and drive integration across the brand’s marketing campaigns and digital experiences. In leading influencer marketing, you will play a meaningful role in scaling the brand’s awareness and revenue goals, all the while developing a content pipeline with brand-aligned creators. While maintaining the brand voice and positioning across our social programs and influencer campaigns, you always have your eye to performance. You will collaborate with the Marketing team to make strategic recommendations for cross-channel content amplification.

 

What You’ll Do:

Social Media

  • Lead strategy development, including the multi-platform approach on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and more
  • Navigate the ongoing rollout of new social products and features and make recommendations to drive growth, community engagement, and creative innovation
  • Build the brand’s social calendar and develop content themes and innovative executions to engage our audience authentically
  • Identify + inform of relevant social trends and translate for US
  • As content creation becomes increasingly important, you can direct and/or develop content alongside the Creative team to drive our cultural currency forward
  • Lead community management and inform on best practices to support the US community
  • Establish benchmarks + KPIs and report on results to inform future strategic initiatives

 

Influencer Marketing

  • Oversee strategic approach to influencer marketing and campaign management, balancing creator authenticity with content creation capabilities, reach, and engagement
  • Manage influencer CRM from discovery + recruitment, to creative briefing, pricing negotiations, contracts, ongoing liaising with influencers/talent managers, and beyond
  • Execute and optimize process for all influencer gifting and ongoing product seeding efforts
  • Oversee and curate content pipeline and determine where to integrate into the marketing calendar to maximize impact of these paid assets across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • Measure and report on influencer performance and share insights for ongoing optimization

 

Who You Are:

  • At the cutting edge of the cultural zeitgeist, understanding digital and social culture and how to credibly and sensitively work within it whilst maintaining brand safety standards
  • Experience crafting and maintaining an editorial social calendar + brand voice and working cross functionally to evolve it
  • Ability to generate visual and short-form written content, by both creating your own and/or by collaborating with our Creative team, sourcing from influencers + the US community
  • Drive brand awareness via social strategies tapping partnerships with digital creators, agents, managers, publicists, and publishers/digital content organizations
  • Oversee social media analysis, metrics, and reporting with internal and external partners
  • Adept at balancing daily tasks with ongoing strategic priorities

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years in social media management and influencer marketing for a DTC brand (fashion preferred)
  • Deep understanding and passion for the brand’s mission, customer, and voice
  • A master relationship builder and connector
  • A social media native - you know the landscape, what’s in v. out, and how to leverage those insights to drive the brand forward
  • Familiarity with social media publishing and analytics tools, and the ability to to distill insights to inform growth
  • Budget management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
