What You’ll Do:

The Growth Marketing Manager, International Growth will fuel Calm’s growth engine and help solve the mental health crisis by helping to scale both new and existing performance marketing channels in key international markets. You are a self-driven generalist who can act both strategically and tactically, with a strong track record of driving growth via non-US campaigns for a DTC business. You are both skilled in active campaign management and optimization, as well as experienced in managing external agencies to drive performance outcomes. You’re both technical and creative, and will be a strong partner to internal creative, media buyer, localization, and data teams to consistently evolve and improve our international growth strategy.

  • Own performance and goals for key international markets across paid channels
  • Partner with established centralized channel owners to test strategies and optimize campaigns in order to maximize efficiency, jumping in to actively manage international focused campaigns as needed
  • Collaborate with UA creative team and Facebook team on creative strategies and testing plans
  • Drive creative volume and pipeline for localized creative across digital channels
  • Stay on top of trends and insights in local markets to prioritize new channels, creative concepts to test
  • Onboard and manage local creative vendors, freelancers, and creators to test new ideas and support in-house creative production
  • Create and build positive relationships with local advertising partners and international networks to test new traffic sources
  • Partner with web on localization and local landing page iteration
  • Partner with offline marketing on media plans, measurement, project management, and creative
  • Conduct performance and creative reporting, giving insights into trends and action plans for partner teams

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years experience in media buying for mobile app products
  • Experience directly managing 6+ figures of yearly ad spend across top ad networks/channels
  • Experience scaling campaigns in non-english speaking market
  • Deep understanding of attribution models
  • You’ve worked with SDKs and APIs, have used Tableau and/or other data tools
  • Expertise working with creative, data, localization, legal, and product teams
  • Experience onboarding and managing media & creative agencies, partners and contractors
  • Ability to build partnerships and work effectively with partner and external teams
  • Creative problem solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to make calm, data driven decisions under pressure
  • Desire to be hands on
  • You are passionate about solving problems with cultural nuance
  • You care deeply about solving the mental health crisis and want to do it by scaling our paid acquisition on paid media channels.

  • Expertise with local channels internationally
  • Expertise in Influencer marketing, Landing Page Optimizations
  • Experience working with subscription business models
  • Fluent one of the languages offered by Calm
